In 2018, our vision of a showcase for North Bay A Cappella music came to life with our first Sonoma County A Cappella Festival. It was so much fun, we did it again in 2019.
If you missed the second annual Sonoma County A Cappella Festival, you missed a treat of ringing chords and award-winning A Cappella groups! The line up included four groups of the best A Cappella singers in the area.
Vocal Edition is co-ed A Cappella group based in San Francisco but performs at many Sonoma County venues. Their set infuses creativity, diversity, and musicality into unique vocal arrangements. Young men and women from a variety of careers & professions brought together by a passion & love for music, their repertoire is an eclectic mix of pop, alternative and R&B songs that masterfully intertwine the past and present. If you love complex harmonies, interesting arrangements, and soulful voices you’ll love hearing Vocal Edition.
Take Flight is Napa’s premier a Cappella band. Comprised of 5 highly experienced vocalists, they take on hit songs from a wide array of genres and artists! With smooth, tight harmonies and pleasing upbeat music, singing hit songs from a wide variety of genres and artists (spanning many decades and performing them all without the use of any instruments), Take Flight brings a fresh take on every song they perform while still staying true to the original artist.
Pacific Empire Chorus was established in Sonoma County in 1964 as the Santa Rosa Chapter of Sweet Adelines International. This chorus has been influenced by the very best in Barbershop Harmony and incredible local A Cappella talent. As you listen to this fabulous group of women sing songs from over 100 years of musical genres, you’ll be toe tapping and soul searching as the melodies ramble through you and into your every emotion. Their singing can take you on an emotional roller coaster ride with a beautiful ballad and make you smile and want to sing and dance along with their peppy up-tunes!
Song of Sonoma Chorus was founded in 2010. Since then, we have taken every opportunity to perform and share our love of music and the barbershop style with as many people as possible.
